review: all saints lunatic asylum

Ever since their first year of transitioning from a home haunt into a commercial storefront space, we have been making our annual seasonal trek to Apple Valley’s All Saints Lunatic Asylum to experience their incredible maze. Located in the heart of the high desert, All Saints is similar to Reign of Terror in that it has slowly expanded and evolved within a storefront space throughout the years. The haunt is filled with very talented scare actors who hide out within dimly lit, spookily decorated rooms - offering a superb experience that is always a great way to celebrate the Halloween season.

This maze has many wonderful rooms - the classic bathroom scene, the doll room, the manic doctor area and the guts of the house that are almost pitch black. However the soul of this haunt is the core of scare actors who seem to pop out of nowhere and will not hesitate to follow you with intense commitment as you try to escape. The panic of uncertainty that is felt by visitors is intensified by the prevalent darkness of the maze.

For those in LA who are curious about dedicating a whole night to the high desert we suggest that you make an evening of it by pairing up All Saints with Fear Farm and the High Desert Haunt. The energy and personality of these haunts that lie beyond the San Bernardino National Forest is completely unique and in a league of its own.
