REVIEW: HAUNTED ADVENTURE

I almost didn’t visit this haunt after being so disappointed with last year’s event. To me, it seems like very little effort was made at this unique location. Pretty sure they just grabbed a cart at CVS and filled it with markers, poster board and whatever they had in the Halloween aisle. With a more creative and passionate team, this location could become an unbelievable event.

That said, this year’s haunt was a major improvement. Instead of 8 and under scarers, they had teenagers, which brought the experience up a notch in the scare factor. The typical chainsaw scene was inserted in the middle rather than at the end, which worked well. The lighting and scenery was nailed, giving the spooky vibe which already exists at this abandoned amphitheater. They included some terrifying scenes in the shut down kiosks as you leave, one being of two mad doctors lobotomizing a kid with a crying baby mask.

I realize this a community event for kids and family but find it shame to waste this perfect setting. Maybe they can collaborate with Big Worms Sherwood scare since they have been on hiatus the last couple years. That would be amazing.
