review: REIGN OF TERROR

Ever since the late 90’s, Thousand Oaks’ Reign of Terror (RoT) has been an essential annual destination for haunters from all around the world. Beginning as a modest DIY yard haunt, RoT quickly expanded into the mammoth-sized maze that it is today inside of Janss Marketplace. Ever since this relocation, RoT has been transforming every Halloween season - expanding and evolving within its 28,000 square foot space to form the 135 room maze that it has become infamous for.

Reign of Terror has inspired generations of haunters with their theme park quality builds that incorporate incredible set designs animated by a combination of cinematic actors and superb animatronics. The atmosphere is filled with various scents and blankets of fog and the sound and lighting are chillingly perfect. The 135 room maze fully incorporates the entire spectrum of haunted house elements, including an icy cold wind that blows through the caves of the mining set.

If you would like to visit the most epic and largest haunt in Southern California, then Reign of Terror is the perfect destination for you. We have been in attendance for over a decade and have been thrilled with our experience every single year. Like a fine Transyvlanian wine, Reign of Terror is consistenly amazing and only gets better with age.
